SW-1 600 Hp Diesel Switcher $199.95
In 1939, the EMD division of General Motors started building the SW series of switchers. This model, the 600 hp SW-1, was built between 1939 and 1953. A total of 614 were delivered to more than 40 railroads and industries.
These models feature arched front cab windows, front sand box, straight exhaust stack, two-step transition between hood and cab, formed music wire side handrails, new improved standard pilot, earlier style anti-skid pattern on decking and lost wax brass cast uncoupler lever lift rings.
