There really was a Zion Fig Bar car! Zion Institutions and Industries was a conglomerate of 22 businesses owned by a Christian sect in Zion, Illinois around the turn of the century. They controlled everything from the local politics to the police with a motto "Everything for God and Zion." They owned a gas station, department store, a Ford dealership, and even a bakery. KAHN'S
The E. Kahn's Company of Cincinnati, Ohio was a large meat packer that produced hams, bacon and lard. Their bright refrigerator cars were painted a striking yellow with huge black lettering on the side, with Kahn's letters taking up three-quarters of the car side. This is a favorite of collectors who enjoy a distinctive car. Comes in two different numbers, version #1 and #2. $42.95
TIPO WINE
In 1881, the Italian Swiss Colony near Cloverdale, California was created by a native of Genoa as a social experiment to provide work for Italian immigrants. By the turn of the century, the facility produced more table wine than any other winery in California.
